Greater China Earthquake Relief
We recommend that donors give through established relief agencies working in China. Here are a few:
GCF donors may suggest a grant from their donor advised fund to these or an agency of their choice (qualified U.S. charities) using Advisor Xpress.
 Cyclone Relief in Burma Fund
Last Saturday’s powerful cyclone in Burma, also known as Myanmar, left tens of thousands dead and vast areas of land underwater or devastated. People are in need of food, water and medical attention since the storm hit early Saturday. There are also certain to be much longer-term recovery and rebuilding needs.
GCF has established Cyclone Nargis Relief in Burma Fund to accept contributions of any size for this effort. We are working with our philanthropic colleagues to determine where the areas of greatest need are and how these contributions can best be applied, as we have done with Hurricane Katrina and other recovery efforts. We will be posting any updates to this page.
Anyone with a GCF donor advised fund can make a grant suggestion from your GCF donor advised fund using Advisor Xpress or your regular grant suggestion form to the Cyclone Nargis Relief in Burma Fund at GCF or directly to any of the established relief organizations working in that part of the world. Until more information is available, you may see a list of relief agencies here.
