A Critical Area of Need

The research report commissioned and led by The Women’s Fund – PULSE: A Study on the Status of Women and Girls in Greater Cincinnati – identified women’s leadership as a critical area of focus for our region – click the PDF icon below to read the study findings and recommendations.

Although a number of projects and activities have been developed, Greater Cincinnati still lacks a cohesive strategy for leadership development across the spectrum of age, roles, and positions. In addition, the existing women’s leadership development programs are limited in the scope of topics, services and number of women served.

Agenda for the Future Recommendations

Purpose



  • Raise funds to support leadership development programs for women/girls.
  • Conduct an assessment of existing Greater Cincinnati leadership programs, identify needs and gaps.
  • Review best-in-class programs nationally and demonstrated outcomes.
  • Create a community-wide plan to move women/girl’s leadership forward.
  • Provide immediate opportunities through grants for existing/new leadership programs and establish and endowment for long term women’s leadership needs.
